MOBILE, AL (Oct. 8, 2014) – Nationally recognized home improvement expert, Danny Lipford, is taking his 17 season, Emmy-nominated television show – Today’s Homeowner, on the road to film on location in Sandy, Utah.

Lipford and his Today’s Homeowner crew will be shooting a “Curb Appeal” episode the week of October 20 at the home of a local Sandy resident. Today’s Homeowner is a nationally syndicated TV program airing in 204 markets, covering 85% of the country. Locally, the show can be seen on Salt Lake City’s MyNetworkTV affiliate, KMYU, on Saturdays at 9:30 am.

Sandy resident Ali Thackeray and her family are the lucky winners of a national “What’s Your Front Door View?” contest sponsored by Today’s Homeowner and Window World. Contestants submitted photos of their current entryways with captions indicating their need for spruced up curb appeal, and why they deserved to win. In her contest entry, Thackeray commented, “Our front door is from the 1970’s, but we are not! We are a young energetic family and would love a front door to match who we are – more welcoming and light.”

Since identify theft has been a growing concern in the neighborhood, Lipford and crew will also install a new security mailbox with special features to protect against this common crime.
